(14), xxxvi, 37-331, (15); (6), 102 [mis-numbered 202], (2) pages; finely engraved title featuring a medallion portrait of Louis XIV; both printed titles in red and black; finely engraved headpieces; engravings of coins in the text; 58 full-page, and one half-page, finely engraved plates of coins. Binding a bit worn, but sound. Very good. The first comprehensive work on French metropolitan coins. Estimate $300. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society.
