Title Lot 15979
Description Stack's. Reprint Photographs of the Joseph Brobston Collection of United States Half Cents. These were sent in 1995 to R. Tettenhorst by Eric P. Newman, who described them as "new copies" made from "a set of the photographs of all the coins in the Brobston fixed price sale, which they handled in the 1950s [sic]. This is of extreme rarity, as you know. .. The new copies made came from those photographs." Twelve 8 by 10 inch black-and-white prints, each showing four of the original small prints; negatives included. (The half eagle is the Eliasberg/Pogue example, which was handled by Burdette Johnson as part of the Virgil Brand estate.) Two enlarged views of both sides of the $3 gold are included.
