Province of Georgia 1766 1 Pound Handwritten Date Fr. GA-45. PCGS Fine 15 Apparent. An interesting series of Georgia certificate that is quite rare fully signed and issued. A lengthy typeset obligation in black and red commingled inks explains the note's purpose for "Encouragement of Settlers" and "rebuilding the Court-House in Savannah." Like almost all the Georgia Colonial notes from the era, high-grade examples are nearly impossible to obtain. For the technical grade, the red textual colors are bold and the note is above the norm. Noted with "Splits, Tears, and Minor Edge Damage; Repairs; Backed." A rare, historic Georgia Colonial note. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society
