Description Colony of Connecticut March 4, 1762 40 Shillings Fr. CT-144. PCGS Very Fine 30 Apparent. Any note from this series is very rare, and there are few auction records to cite from the past few decades. Most importantly, this has tremendous eye-appeal. Boldly printed with a well-penned signature trio. The solitary note in the Ford-Boyd collection realized $604 in May 2004 and it was patched together, with a grade of Fair. Noted with "Small Edge Tears; Minor Edge Notch at Right." A dream note for the Colonial specialist. Ex: Eric P. Newman Numismatic Education Society Realized $2467.50. Newman VII (Heritage Auctions, 10/2015), lot 18025. Description courtesy of Heritage Auctions.
