Pennsylvania April 20, 1781 5 Pounds Fr. PA-256. PCGS New 62PPQ. The large format notes from this series are much rarer than the small pence notes. This is the highest denomination from the series and it is an attractive example. A well designed note, it shows the Commonwealth arms inside a quartet of well-made border cuts. Bold printing enhances the fresh and original paper. This example perfectly exhibits the style of the later Pennsylvania notes engraved by John Dunlap. Ex: Eric P.
