1652 SHILNG Pine Tree Shilling, Small Planchet -- Damaged -- NGC Details. VF. Noe-16, W-835, Salmon 2-B, R.2. 68.2 gn. A stone-white and charcoal-gray example of this final Massachusetts silver type. Moderately wavy, with wear focused on peripheral obverse high points. Well centered and evenly struck. The legends are clear except for the final S in MASATHVSETS. A relatively early die state, although a break joins the ends of two left-side tree branches. Listed on page 39 of the 2017 Guide Book.
