Yikes, Craig, and here I thought I collected too many things!=C2=A0 You ALM=
OST make me look like the poster child for restraint!=C2=A0 <g>
Here's what I do:
* A few neat colonials (as a dealer I can't really collect the series too d=
eeply, though if prices stay low I may go back and collect CT coppers, comi=
ng full circle as that is the first thing I collected - and that started wi=
th the second coin I ever purchased!).* Copies of colonial coins, including=
Betts-made counterfeits, the "Michigan Mint" pieces, but also newer issues=
like Gallery Mint.* Counterfeit French Colonies issues used in North Ameri=
ca* Conder tokens, pretty much the entire series but I have a greater fondn=
ess for the larger series that have lots of die varieties - the colonial (a=
nd especially CT copper) training coming in useful there.=C2=A0 I also like=
the contemporary counterfeits made of many of these larger series Conder t=
okens.* Off-metal Conder tokens* British/Irish counterfeit halfpence and fa=
rthings, of the George II - George III eras* Counterfeit world coins of the=
18th century* Counterfeit Spanish silver and gold issues of the 17th-19th =
centuries, with fondness for the counterfeit 8 Reales that were used (and s=
ome may have been made) in America* British evasion coppers of the late 18t=
h century - in depth.* Canadian Blacksmith tokens* Counterfeit Canadian tok=
ens of the 19th century (Tiffins, Ships Colonies & Commerce, Bust & Harp, e=
tc.)..* Counterfeit Bust half dollars* Counterfeit US coinage by date and m=
intmark - I want to fill up the Whitman folders in each series with nothing=
but counterfeits!* Thomas Spence counterstamps on coins and tokens* Columb=
ia farthings by die variety* Sentimental Magazine medalettes* tokens and me=
dals issued by 18th-19th century numismatists* Anything crude or interestin=
g that happens to catch my eye - which is dangerous because if a few things=
in a series end up doing that, then I end up collecting that series as wel=
l!
OK, Craig, so when's our next Coinaholics Anonymous meeting?
