MINT OF THE U. STATES.
The director of the Mint of the United States has stated that were coined there in 1798 7974 Eagles, 24867 Half Eagles, and 614 Quarter Eagles of Gold-- 327530 Dollars, 27550 Dimes, in Silver- and 979700 Cents, in copper.- Equal in the whole to 545,698 Dollars. Nearly double to any preceding year.
The subscriptions to the new Loan, we understand, are calculated to exceed Fifteen Millions of dollars.
In this town the subscriptions were above Fifteen hundred thousand dollars.
The Bank of Pennsylvania, we learn, has been authorized to subscribe 500,000 dolls.
The British government required a new Loan of 18 millions; and 80 millions have been subscribed.
