U.S. National Archives (Record Group 104 [Denver], Entry 3, Registers of Deposits of Gold and Silver Bullion, 1863 - 1912)

This series consists of registers of deposits of gold and silver bullion. The information in the volumes includes the date of each deposit, the receipt number, the assay number, the name of the depositor, a description of the source of the metal deposited, the weight of the metal, notes made by the melter and/or refiner, and a remarks section. In some volumes, listings for gold and silver deposits are noted separately by month, with separate series of assay numbers and reciept numbers assigned. The remaining volumes do not include information that differentiates between gold and silver deposits.
