U.S. Mint Reports

Primarily consisting of the Mint Director's annual report, this series contains information often found nowhere else, revealing internal workings of the Mint and copious statistical data. In addition to the annual reports, this series includes other reports as issued, for example, results of assay tests of foreign gold and silver coins. Beginning in 2010, the biennial report on coinage production cost and cost saving alternatives is included in this series.

Note: Reports are categorized by year published rather than year covered. In some cases, the annual report for a given year was not published until the following year.

United States Mint 2022 Annual Report

The United States Mint’s 2022 Annual Report highlights a year of resilience and achievement despite challenges like rising metal costs and decreased coin demand. The Mint produced 12.1 billion circulating coins, saw bullion revenue of $3.7 billion, and numismatic sales of $559 million, with strong demand for gold products and the American Women Quarters™ Program debuting. The Mint transferred $534 million to the U.S. Treasury, commemorated key events like the 100th anniversary of the Negro Leagues Baseball and the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, and celebrated its 230th anniversary. It also expanded educational outreach and improved customer service, reflecting its mission to connect America through coins.
