Jeffersonville, IN - Bank of the State of Indiana, Branch at Jeffersonville $1 July 1, 1857 IN-2 G76a SENC, WVS 325-1var. PCGS Fine 15 Apparent. Genuine, and a rarity. Counterfeits plagued the series and the general branch type used here. Bald, Cousland & Co. engraved the plates with this having an additional "ABC" monogram at the right. Full red tint is across. ONE DOLLAR is across the central die. Oval male portraits are at the bottom corners. The red back has two dies, each with the branch title. There is a back corner bald spot noted as a "Paper Scuff on Back at Top Left." The face is bright for the grade. Ex: Eric P.
